Knit jumpers for children
Woy Woy Guardian Pharmacy is encouraging local residents to support its eighth annual Guardian Angel program by knitting an outfit to keep a child in Mongolia warm.
Woy Woy Guardian Pharmacy pharmacist Mr Raymond Kuoch said that through the program, disadvantaged children received warm clothing to help them survive the winter months.
"We take mild weather for granted in Woy Woy," said Mr Kuoch.
"But the cold affects the lives of poorer children immensely, leading to a lack of education, lack of nutrition and sickness."
Pattern books featuring garment patterns for children of all ages are available free at Woy Woy Guardian Pharmacy.
