Pearl Beach homes lose power with power pole fire
Pearl Beach fire brigade was activated with a report of fire on a power pole at the eastern end of Emerald Ave, just before 5pm on Thursday, July 17
The crew arrived to find that the fire had self-extinguished.
Residents reported hearing a loud bang, with a number of Pearl Beach properties losing power.
Emerald Ave was closed between Diamond Ave and Pearl Parade, while AusGrid restored power.
