Local women wanted for Women's Advisory Council
Local women are being encouraged to apply for positions on the NSW Women's Advisory Council.
Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch said the application process would see 12 new members join the NSW Women's Advisory Council.
"Each member will play a vital role to advance gender equality by advising the NSW Government on issues impacting women and girls across the state.
"The Council aims to represent diverse voices, experiences, and priorities of women in NSW and promote equitable policy outcomes across the work of government.
"Council members will meet up to four times a year to discuss issues affecting women and girls and provide advice directly to the NSW Government, contributing to the NSW Women's Strategy."
Ms Tesch said: "It would be an amazing opportunity to have a local resident on the Advisory Council."
Applications may be made through the Women NSW website at https://www.nsw.gov.au/women-nsw/join-nsw-womens-advisory-council.
Applications close on Wednesday, July 12.
