Students meet community members
Year 11 Thrive Program students at the Woy Woy campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College have been meeting with local community members as a part of their English studies unit Local Heroes.
They have conducted interviews with Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch, Mr Paul Sharpe from Umina Surf Club, Ms Sally Liedberg from Mary Macs and Mr John Ridley from the Woy Woy Community Garden.
"Students have learnt about their contributions to the community and the importance of giving back to the Peninsula," said campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
