Whole school listens to book reading in space
Woy Woy South Public School students have listened to a story pre-recorded by US astronaut Dr Shannon Walker in the International Space Station.
The reading of the book Give Me Some Space by Australian author Philip Bunting was organised for the Australian Library and Information Association's National Simultaneous Storytime day on May 19, an event which claimed almost two million registered participants.
The 55-year-old Dr Walker, wife of Adelaide-born astronaut Dr Andy Thomas, returned from her six month mission at the space station on May 2.
The whole school assembled in the hall to listen to Dr Walker's reading.
