Year's rainfall is spot on average

The year's rainfall at the end of May is spot on average, with the total so far this year 657.9mm.

The average total for the first five months of the year is 657mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

Total for the month was 68.2mm as at 9am on Friday, May 28, with only light rain forecast for the weekend.

The average May rainfall is 74mm.

Most of May's rain fell in the first two weeks of the month, with only 8.7mm falling in the last fortnight.

June is the Peninsula's wettest month with an average rainfall of 162mm.
