Unicycle hockey team starts at community centre
A unicycle hockey team has started as an offshoot of the Woy Woy Unicycle Club at the Peninsula Community Centre.
The team is growing in size and is aiming to compete at a national level.
"We started with lots of keen people who had unicycles but only a handful knew how to ride them," said coach Mr Andy Long.
"We are making great progress every week and have a wide range of ages and abilities, with people aged from 11 to 53 years.
"The only current qualification to join the team is a willingness to give it a go."
"There are some unicycles for you to try in all sizes if you don't have your own."
The club meets from 9:30am to 10:45am on Saturdays at the community centrein McMasters Rd, Woy Woy.
Mr Long, from Roundabout Circus, said: "It's been my dream to start a local unicycle club and this is the perfect location."
