Tesch welcomes State dredging of Ettalong channel

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has welcomed the announcement that the State Government has accepted responsibility for dredging the Ettalong channel.

"The State Government has finally realised that this is a key investment area for maritime infrastructure," she said.

"We've been having this cost-shifting battle with Council which has seen our ferries stopped in 2018 and 2019.

"And now we've got 100 per cent funding.

"So hopefully we will see, under the supervision of the State Government, our ferry won't be stopped and our tourism can continue, and we won't be commuting from Patonga.

"After years of pushing the Liberal Government, it's great news for our community."
