Cherished model yacht successfully restored

The Umina Beach Men's Shed has restored an old and cherished model yacht that was broken as it was being moved.

The Shed was asked if it were possible that the yacht could be revived, said Shed secretary Mr Vic Brown.

"It's mast was snapped and the rigging was in a clutter."

Shed vice-president Mr Bill Ide took care of the project after consulting with a friend who was a keen model maker, and the craft was successfully restored.
