Real estate agent tells of Peninsula challenges
A Umina real estate agent has given an impromptu talk to his Rotary club about the challenges currently being faced by real estate agents on the Peninsula.
Rotarian Mr Tom Tregent, principal of the local Raine and Horne agency, spoke at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Umina Beach.
Club president Mr Bruce Croft reported that Mr Tregent "gave an impromptu and very informative talk on the current fragile circumstances of real estate on the Peninsula".
"One estate agent has recently shut up shop and Tom predicted that more could follow," he said.
"The main issue is lack of properties for sale and rent, and the high prices cashed up buyers are willing to pay to live on the Peninsula."
