Certificate allows construction of multi-dwelling project

The granting of a construction certificate will allow commencement of a multi-dwelling project in Ettalong.

The $890,000 project at 23 Flathead Rd, Ettalong, will include demolition of an existing single residence and construction of a three-unit multi-dwelling housing complex.

A statement lodged with Central Coast Council in support of the application said: "The flat 973.7 square metre site is 15.24m in width, 64m in length and obtains direct vehicular access to the public road reserve.

"The application seeks consent for the demolition of the existing dwelling (and vegetation) and the erection of three three-bedroom villas with garages, driveway, stormwater tanks and front courtyard fencing," the statement said.

The construction certificate has been granted by Central Coast Council even though the development did not comply with local planning controls for some setbacks and open space.
