Coast could be hit with privatisation, says Tesch
Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has warned that the Central Coast could be hit with privatisation.
She said the Government had shown its support for privatisation with the remaining 49 per cent of the WestConnex tunnel being sold off along, with the continued privatising of the remainder of Sydney's bus services into 2021.
She said that privatisation had become a preferred answer to difficulty.
"Because of the NSW Government's refusal to bail out Central Coast Council, despite the forced amalgamation, swathes of council land looks to be sold off."
Ms Tesch said: "Selling off NSW assets is not the only economically viable option to consider and instead it can be very damaging."
Most experts agreed that privatisation was "a fatal technique when it comes to our State's pocket", she said.
