Rotary farewells exchange student

The Rotary Club of Umina Beach farewelled youth exchange student Valentine Blampain who returned to Belgium after a 12 month stay on the Central Coast.

Valentine lived with many Rotary families during her stay and attended Brisbane Water Secondary College.

Valentine also completed the Harbour Bridge Climb and a five-week coach safari with 35 other exchange students from three districts.

It travelled from Sydney north to Cairns, across to Darwin, Central Australia, South Australia to Adelaide, across to Melbourne and up the east coast back to Sydney.

Many other exciting trips and visits and experiences made up her year.

"Valentine made many friends on the Central Coast and will be sadly missed by Rotary families on the Coast," said Rotary organiser Mr Geoff Melville.
