Responsible computer use taught
Woy Woy Public School students have been taught how to be responsible when using computers or similar devices at school.
Students were reminded to stay on-task and only use the applications they were directed to use by the teacher.
Discussions also focussed on the importance of only visiting websites that were relevant to the work they had been asked to complete, and of informing a teacher if they accidentally came across any inappropriate web pages or internet content.
Students who successfully demonstrated positive behaviours when using information and communication technology were rewarded.
Parents and carers were encouraged to discuss expectations with their children and to direct any questions to the school.
