Early Australia day at Umina
Year Four students at Umina Beach Public School took part in Early Australia Day on Wednesday, June 28.
The students participated in traditional activities that would have been done when the new colony was formed.
The day was part of the school's First Contact History Unit.
Some experiences of the day included a traditional classroom setting, a right hand only handwriting lesson and making traditional paper dolls.
The students also tried some traditional damper.
