Emergency rescue
Emergency services were called to Palm Tree Grove in Umina on Wednesday, October 19, after two women from Copacabana became disorientated on a bushwalk.
The women, aged 23 and 40, were walking in the bushland of Palm Grove Cres around 3pm, when they got lost.
They were able to locate a house and yelled out to the occupant who notified emergency services.
The women were unable to access the house due to the steep terrain but the occupant was able to direct them to the road.
The uninjured women were met by ambulances, police and fire and rescue.
