Prizes to be won
Peninsula News, in conjunction with Australia Post, is giving away stamp prize packs to celebrate 200 years of postal services in Australia.
The stamps highlight the contribution the postal service has made to the lives of Australians since Isaac Nichols became the first postmaster of NSW in 1809.
Each prize pack contains a First Day Cover, set of Maxi Cards and Stamp Pack valued at $24.75.
"The story of Australia Post is inextricably linked to the history of this nation, with the post helping to bring Australians together through defining moments such as the gold rush, Federation and the world wars," Australia Post philatelic group manager Mr Noel Leahy said.
"These 10 stamps visually tell the story of 200 years of postal services in Australia and the important role they have played in the development of our nation."
To enter the competition, write your name, address and phone number on the back of an envelope and send to Peninsula News 200 Years of Australia Post Competition, PO Box 532, Woy Woy, 2256.
