Rotary club to hold golf day on November 4
The Rotary Club of Brisbane Water will hold its golf day on Monday, November 4, at Everglades Country Club.
Proceeds of the fundraising event will go to the Cancer Council NSW as well as local youth programs sponsored by Rotary Brisbane Water.
The club is hoping to top last year's golf day total of $7000.
Club fundraising director Ms Cherie Simpson and treasurer Mr Mark Simpson are organising the prizes for the day.
Co-president Ms Marion Cornish said: "I will be organising some ticket prizes to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society in Albion Park and will organise to be there to show you around the 747 when you attend.
"One of the fun things to do is a Wing Walk, which will be a raffle prize."
Ms Cornish said that, as a contribution to the Rotary Youth Exchange program, she was also organising for the district's exchange students to visit the museum.
