Schools involved in dance festival

Several Peninsula schools will be taking part in the 16th annual Central Coast Dance Festival this month.

The schools include both campuses of Brisbane Water Secondary College, as well as Empire Bay, Ettalong, Pretty Beach, Umina and Woy Woy public schools.

They will join about 50 Central Coast primary and high schools, with nearly 2000 students kindergartens to Year 12 taking part.

Many different styles of dance will appear somewhere in the festival, which has a total of six different shows, each show including about 15 items.

Each show will be presented to an audience of 1200 people three times in the course of a nine-night run, with two shows per night.

Performances will take place between 6pm and 8pm from June 14 to 17 and from June 20 to 24.

The performances will take place at Laycock St Theatre, Gosford.
