Rotary club delivers hand-washing station
The Rotary Club of Umina Beach has delivered the second stage of its latest international project in the Philippines.
The club sent three members to unveil and hand over a 10-tap hand-washing station and to deliver lessons in dental hygiene to more than 800 elementary school students.
Team leader was club past president Mr Rouel Vergara, who was joined by another past president Mr Wayne Dowdle and Rotarian Mr Michael Garland.
They travelled to Cayetano Topacio Elementary School about an hour from Central Manilla.
This project was run in partnership with Rotary Club of Imus East and follows a similar delivery in October last year.
