Young man airlifted to hospital after fall onto rocks
A young man has been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital after falling about four metres down an embankment and onto rocks at Woy Woy Bay at about 4pm on February 14.
Rescue crews from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a fire trail along with NSW Police and NSW Ambulance.
Using specialist equipment, crews made their way to the patient where he was assessed on scene by paramedics.
The patient, aged in his 20s, had suffered lower back injuries.
He was stabilised and moved to a more accessible location so that he could be transported by a Toll rescue helicopter to hospital.
