Dry start to year continues

The Peninsula has had a total of 67mm rainfall so far this month, continuing a dry start to the year.

The total as at February 19 was 42 per cent of the February average total of 160mm, according to Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

The total rainfall for the year to date is 147.7mm about half the average figure for this time of year.

Another 134mm is needed to reach the cumulative end of February average of 282mm.
