Medical practice to move from Umina to Woy Woy
A long-standing medical practice in West St, Umina, will close at noon on Thursday, February 25, and re-open with a new name in Woy Woy on Monday, March 1.
Umina Surgery will become Woy Woy Family Practice when it opens in Deepwater Plaza Shopping Centre for existing and new patients.
The new practice will feature 13 GP rooms, a treatment and procedure room, and additional rooms for more doctors and services, said practice manager Ms Barbara White.
"All current doctors and staff will relocate to Woy Woy, while a new doctor, Dr Mary Tran, will also be joining the practice next month.
"The practice's current services will continue to be offered - general health assessments, paediatrics, travel medicine, skin cancer checks and chronic disease management.
"Over the years, the needs of our patients and the practice have changed, and our current site no longer meets the needs of a growing, modern practice.
"Our priority remains the health and wellbeing of our patients and the community.
"The practice will remain part of the network of Fullerton Health Medical Centres, which includes more than 60 clinics throughout metropolitan and regional Australia."
