Treat wetlands with more respect
As a bushcare volunteer at the Everglades wetlands, I was very disappointed after being away for a few weeks, to see even more destruction this morning (April 21).
I know there has been a bike track there for years but what is happening now is terrible, they are just making more and more tracks, having no regard for plants that are in the way, plants that volunteers have lovingly planted and nourished over the years.
We are prepared to compromise, but they just want more and more.
Being a big part of the lungs of Woy Woy and the last remaining remnants of wetlands for the suburb, I think it should be treated with a bit more respect.
