Radio station broadcasts from Woy Woy school

A local radio station broadcasted live from Woy Woy Public School on November 22.

"What a fabulous time we all had when Star104.5 broadcasted from the school," said principal Ms Ona Buckley.

"Rabbit and Julie Goodwin did the breakfast show from 6am to 9am.

"There were games and craft activities for the students to participate in as well as a bacon and egg sandwich breakfast for sale.

"Four budding radio announcers, Amy Newboult-Kosztyo, Luke McLennan, Jazmyn Tutauha and Toby Cridland, had the thrill of their lives answering lots of different questions on air.

"They did a fantastic job and were true stars of the day.

"Our school staff also starred by singing along to the theme song from the television show Cheers.

"It was loads of fun for everyone and our grounds were full of happy families enjoying what was on offer," Ms Buckley said.

"Parents and Carers Group president Ms Tina Jackson also received a donation of $500 from a sponsor to go towards classroom resources."
