The koala population in Kahibah Creek is under threat because of Gosford Council clearing policies, according to a local environmentalist.
Mr Tony Whitehead said council has ignored evidence he gathered about koalas in the area.

Kylie Cassidy of Umina Beach will know within a few days if she has been successful in a major TAFE NSW award for Aborigines.
Miss Cassidy, 22, teaches an Aboriginal unit at Gosford TAFE, has been short listed for TAFE's Indigenous Australian award.
The winner will be eligible for the national title in a year.

He has spent the past six months using his contracts to get donations of building materials for the centre.

A Sydney man will face a break and enter charge in Woy Woy local court on August 2 after he was caught by Gosford police in a house in Booker Bay recently.
Police said the man stayed inside the home after a house alarm was activated and they discovered him hiding under a lounge in the lounge room.

Brisbane Water police were called to a home in Florida Ave, Woy Woy at 10.30am on Tuesday, July 5, where a man was thought to have barricaded himself in the house following a domestic dispute.
Half the street was blocked.

Vandals have damaged the Ettalong Beach girl guide hall five times in the past year, forcing the group to raise money for repairs.
The hall on the corner of Memorial Ave and Lurline St, has been smashed and the doors kicked in.
Panels on the nearby garden shed have been also damaged.
