Concrete poured at pool

Concrete for the floor of the main Olympic swimming pool has been poured at the Peninsula Regional Leisure Centre.

The basketball and netball areas are now visible from Blackwall Rd.

A statement by Gosford Council said that over August work will continue on the three swimming pools and construction will start on establishing the basketball and netball courts.

"Council has also put together a committee comprised of various sporting and recreational groups.

"The committee will meet for the first time this month and will make suggestions and discuss how they can best use the facility.

"Construction for the project is well on schedule.

"Council is maintaining regular updates in a monthly newsletter, which is available at Council's libraries."
