Seven chosen for district

Seven Everglades women bowlers were chosen for the Central Coast District team to play Nepean District on June 18 at Kemps Creek Bowling Club.

The Central Coast District took out the event 189-138

The team included Audrey Tucker, Gwen Hewson, Mary Ellis, Goldie Edwards, Wendy Tancred, Dot Tapp and Judy King from Everglades.

The Ladies Major Triples Championship was also held on Wednesday, June 30.

The game was neck and neck all the way to the 19th end at 19-all.

Goldie Edwards' team of Val Douglass and Val Leggett finally won by four shots from Gwen Hewson, Sue O'Connor and Dot Tapp.
