Peninsula records 80 per cent of July average in a week
The Peninsula has recorded almost 80 per cent of its average monthly rainfall in the first week of July.
A total of 62.2mm was recorded in the first seven days of the month, which has an average rainfall of 79mm, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.
More than half of this was recorded on July 2, which had 32.5mm for the previous 24 hours.
Almost 50mm was recorded in the first two days of the month.
Year-to-date rainfall remains above average, with 989.6mm having been recorded this year.
This is 8.6 per cent above the average at the end of July of 911mm.
