Petition objects to drainage plan

A petition objecting to a development application in Rickard Rd, Empire Bay, will be considered by Gosford Council's assessment officer.

The petition was received, with five signatures, from residents of Empire Bay who said they were concerned with the storm water drainage from the property, asking that consideration be given when determining this application.

They stated that the storm water management plan indicated that storm water overflow was to an existing drainage easement.

The petitioners claimed that there was no existing system from the dwelling or the garage.

The petitions said that without Council intervention to clean all overgrowth from the easement to assist water flow, any additional storm water in this area could only add to flooding problems.
