No sense in poisoning

The poisoning of trees to have a better view doesn't make sense.

Who wants to look at dead trees?

Perhaps the council could put up hoardings or containers as one mayor suggested, with paintings of trees on them.

These structures would be a bit more permanent than living trees.

And they wouldn't grow and block out their precious view of sand, water and trees.
