Fellowship launches CD

Local band Fellowship of the Strings will launch its first CD at Kincumber Resort Hotel on October 6.

Founded by Peninsula resident Jan Couchman, Fellowship of the Strings features award winning, vocal duo sisters Tahlia and Ingrid Racz.

The band features Jackie Luke, Greg Wilson, Jan Couchman and Tahlia and Ingrid Racz.

Jan Couchman plays the magical Celtic harp while Ingrid and Tahlia provide vocals, as well as guitar and percussion.

Jackie Luke plays the hammered dulcimer and bouzouki, as well as providing vocals.

Greg Wilson plays the Paraguayan harp, penny-whistle and concertina.

The group formed last year for the St Albans Folk Festival and is made up of Central Coast performers.

They have performed at the Umina Beach Folk Festival, St Albans Folk Festival and numerous Central Coast and Sydney venues but have a long performance history as individual performers.

The group have also drawn a sell-out crowd at the Troubadour Acoustic Music Club, and will be appearing at CoastFest.

The CD launch will feature totally new interpretations of Kiss, Uriah Heap, Abba and other artists, as well as traditional folk songs

The Kincumber Resort Hotel is on the corner of Willesee Cr and Carrack Rd, Kincumber.

The event will begin at 7.30pm.

Finger food will be served, and the bar will be open with alcohol provided.
