Just one millimetre of rain in two weeks

Only one millimetre of rain has fallen on the Peninsula in the last two weeks of August.

It was recorded on Saturday, August 24, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

A total of 37mm was recorded for the month, which was just 56 per cent of the month's average of 66mm.

The cumulative total for the year stands at 1122.9mm.

This is 16.5 per cent above the average figure at the end of August of 964mm.
