Giant chequebook opened

While the Peninsula continues to lose its bank branches, you would be forgiven for believing a branch for giants has opened.

Over the last month, giant cheques have appeared in pictures taken around the Peninsula.

Most profilic was Ettalong Diggers Club marketing manager Ms Kim Cole who presented four giant cheques totalling $26,500 to local sporting clubs.

She is pictured with the Umina Bunnies JRLFC, Peninsula Lions Netball Club, Ocean Beach Malibu Club and Brisbane Water Netball Club.

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch presented two cheques: to Central Coast Outrigger Canoe Club and to Woy Woy South Public School's Parents and Citizens Association.

Liberal candidate for Gosford Ms Dee Bocking and Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast Mr Adam Crouch presented a cheque to the Southern Spirit Cricket Club.
