Answers from the elite lack information and humour
I have made numerous attempts to obtain answers about the Traffic Management Study supplied with development application 54551 for the Farnell Rd development in Woy Woy.
I expected answers from council's planning and traffic management officers as I (falsely) believed they would have the most involvement in the development assessment.
How wrong was I.
The response to my enquiries came from the Governance Unit, not from either of the units expected and equipped to answer my questions.
It is impossible to comprehend the council's structure.
However, passing inconvenient questions and issues down the chain of command is an all too familiar practice to save senior management from public humiliation.
Nothing is to be gained criticising the person at the lowest level in the pecking order.
Actually, conversations are more informative and humorous which are characteristics missing at the elite level.
An immediate reshuffle of the council's structure could bring surprising benefits to the residents and the local government area.
Convincing council's senior management of the benefits is near impossible based on the history of Gosford Council's restructure many years ago.
There has been negligible change in local government in decades on the Central Coast.
Good luck with those council enquiries.
Persist long enough and you may eventually speak to a person of interest, a major unexpected result.
