Body of missing man found near Hornsby

A body discovered in bush near Hornsby is believed to be that of a Woy Woy man missing since November 2.

The 81-year-old man was reported missing after last being seen on Railway St, Woy Woy, on Monday, November 2.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District said they were notified and conducted an extensive search for the man.

Officers from Kuring Gai Police Area Command found the body in bushland near Clovelly Rd at Hornsby, after the body of a man was located there on Wednesday, November 18.

Inquiries into the incident continue, however his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
