Money being raised for preschool playground upgrade

The Woy Woy Peninsula Community Child Care Centre is raising money to upgrade its playground.

It is selling tickets in the 2020 People's Choice Community Lottery, with all money raised through the ticket sales being retained by the non-profit group.

The national lottery involves local sporting clubs, schools, charities, volunteer groups and other not-for-profit community groups, with prizes including cars and home upgrades being provided by sponsors.

The child care centre operates from behind the Peninsula Community Centre, from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, providing early childhood education for children aged from two to six years.

As a not-for-profit, community organisation, the centre relies on fees, fundraising, and State and Federal subsidies to maintain operation, according to manager Ms Amy Mills.
