Pearl Beach music scholarship concert is postponed
The annual Pearl Beach Music and Irvine Family Piano Scholarship Concert for this year has been postponed due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
The concert has been sponsored by the Pearl Beach Progress Association and the Irvine Family since the concert was first held in May 2005 in conjunction with the Central Coast Conservatorium.
Central Coast Conservatorium artistic director Mr Patrick Brennan said: "This prestigious event is an excellent opportunity for Conservatorium students to perform for their local community and deliver truly breath taking performances.
"The Conservatorium is most grateful for the financial awards totalling $2000 that are given by the Pearl Beach Progress Association and the Irvine Family to the winners of this important event.
"The prize money will help them further their musical studies at the Conservatorium".
In 2015, a People's Choice Award was introduced with a scholarship valued at $250 contributed by the Irvine Family and the Progress Association.
Other than being postponed, the concert has yet to be re-scheduled.
