Man taken to hospital with multiple wasp stings
A man has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after running into difficulty during a visit to Putty Beach.
Emergency services responded to reports of a man, believed to be aged about 40, in need of medical assistance after suffering multiple wasp stings.
The man entered anaphylactic shock following the stings and grave concerns were held for his welfare.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to assist and following assessment, deemed him healthy enough for road travel.
The man was then conveyed to hospital via ambulance in a stable condition.
