First charity bowls for the year
The first Charity Bowls event for 2019 was held at the Everglades Country Club on January 20.
"What a day that was for our first gathering of the year," said event organiser, Mr Ken Dixon.
"With 60 bowlers on the green and another 25 supporters from the Woy Woy Leagues Social Club, we raised $1330 for Central Coast Kids in Need and our year to date total now stands at over $2000 after only two months' activities.
"It promises to be a big year," Mr Dixon said.
Central Coast Kids in Need raises money to assist families who have seriously ill children with prolonged illness.
The funds raised are also used to cover travel costs, equipment requirements and pharmacy accounts for the affected children.
