Jemma in top 10 kayak placings

Umina's Jemma Smith has returned from the 2019 NSW Kayak Sprint Championships with a number of top 10 finishes under her belt.

The two-day event was held on January 19 and 20 at Sydney's International Regatta Centre.

Jemma competed across six different events and placed highly in the finals of each of her events.

Her best result was her first place finish in the Women's Open K1 1000 event, followed by her third place finish in the team event, the Women's Open K4 500.

Other standout results for Jemma included fifth place finishes in the Women's Open K2 500 and Women's Open K2 200 events and a seventh place in the Women's Open K1 500.
