Former student acknowledges sporting achievements

Brisbane Water Secondary College Umina Campus has been visited by a former student to acknowledge the sporting achievements of students involved in the campus targeted sports program.

"Our students were honoured to be visited by local legend Chris Heighington," said campus principal Mr Brent Walker.

"Chris ran them through some skills and drills, and then made the targeted sports program Rookie Bowl and Year 8 Plate presentations.

"We were very grateful for Chris being generous enough with his time to spend the day with us," Mr Walker said.

Heighington is a former professional rugby league footballer, an English international, Country New South Wales and NRL All Stars representative.
