Musical director gives final performance

The Central Coast Philharmonia Choir's farewell performance for its musical director Mr Philip Rees was held at the St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Woy Woy, on November 10.

The choir performed Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass.

With the performance, Mr Rees brought to an end 35 years with the Central Coast Philharmonia.

Before the concert, he explained that the central exaltation in the mass was brought about by the prospect of peace.

Being the eve of Remembrance Day, Mr Rees said the hope and the prospect of peace should be maintained.
