Girls teams compete in knockout competitions

Umina Beach Public School's girls PSSA soccer and basketball teams have competed in the local NSW PSSA Knockout Competitions in June.

In their first match of Round 3 of the Soccer PSSA Knockout competition, the Umina Beach team faced off against Ourimbah Public School at Fagans Park.

The girls swept through their first game with a 3-0 win and then faced off against Niagara Park Public School.

Umina Beach recorded another spectacular win, 2-0, and now move onto Round 4.

In the PSSA Basketball Knockout Competition, the girls from Umina did not fare as well.

Despite displaying some excellent teamwork, the team was unable to overcome a strong Holgate Public School squad when they faced off in Round 2 of the competition at Gosford City Sports Stadium.
