Charity bowlers raise $650
Charity bowlers have raised $650 from their June event held at Sporties Woy Woy.
"The cold and windy weather kept our bowlers away at our June event but we still managed to raise $650 for Central Coast Kids in Need to bring our year to date total to $7350," said organiser Mr Ken Dixon.
Central Coast Kids in Need raises money to assist families who have seriously ill children with prolonged illness.
"Most of these children are cancer patients, others with organ transplants and premature babies with life threatening issues," said Mr Dixon.
"The money is used to defray the costs of accommodation for the families.
"The funds raised are also used to cover travel costs, equipment requirements and pharmacy accounts."
The next charity bowls event will be held at Sporties on July 15.
