Teaching women practical skills

A workshop to teach women practical new skills visited Umina Beach Public School on Saturday, August 5.

The Supporting And Linking Tradeswomen Skill Women Workshop was designed to give women of all ages experience in using basic hand tools and small power tools.

During the workshop participants worked with tradespeople to learn safe operating procedures, power tools use; how to use a variety of hand power tools; construction of a small timber object and about purchasing a basic tool box and tools.
