Speed limit for The Esplanade?

Gosford Council has approached the Roads and Traffic Authority asking that the full length of The Esplanade be a 40km/h zone.

Council's director city services Mr Stephen Glen told council that the RTA was asked that The Esplanade from Norman St in Umina to Picnic Pde in Ettalong have the speed restriction.

The section of Picnic Pde between The Esplanade and Ocean View Rd has also been included in the request.

The request followed a question on notice by Cr Terri Latella/

She had asked that "Council pursue all avenues and do all things necessary to change traffic conditions to 40km per hour along The Esplanade at Ettalong".
