Action taken against dog owner
Gosford Council has taken action against a dog owner in Nowack Ave Umina after complaints were received from neighbours.
A petition with 10 signatures, which voiced objections to barking dogs, was presented to the September 27 council meeting.
The council has been told this month that penalty infringement notices were served on the dog owner on September 16 for "unregistered companion animals".
A Notice of Intent for nuisance barking was also forwarded to the dog owner on September 16.
The petitioners complained that the dogs constantly howled, barked and fought with one another to the point where residents were forced to retreat into the homes to escape the noise.
