House work investigated

Gosford Council staff will carry out further investigations into work being carried out on a home at Wagstaffe Ave, Wagstaffe, following a formal question on notice by Cr Terri Latella.

Cr Latella claimed that the owner was converting his residence into three units.

However, council's director of environment and planning Ms Worthy-Jennings said that the council's building surveyor could find no evidence of the existing dwelling being converted into three separate units.

She said that he found that an existing open deck had been enclosed and a bathroom renovation was being undertaken.

She said that the council had no record of development consent being granted for the deck works.
