Help wanted with robbery
Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Ettalong Bowling Club on Monday, July 4.
Just after 9.30am a Subaru Outback station wagon reversed through a front window and into the foyer of the club, according to police.
A man, who was allegedly armed with a firearm, exited the vehicle and threatened staff before demanding cash.
A second man remained in the car.
After being given cash, the armed man returned to the car and it was driven from the scene.
The Subaru, which was confirmed as being stolen, was located on fire in a nearby laneway a short time later.
The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW and the vehicle was seized by police for forensic examination.
Police wish to speak to two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man is described as caucasian, of slim build and 170cm tall.
He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants.
Police continue with their inquiries into the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
